Dr. (Lt Col) Abhishek Mahato is a distinguished Nuclear Medicine physician and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, bringing together deep clinical expertise, academic rigor, and leadership shaped by service in some of the country’s most disciplined medical institutions. An MBBS graduate from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, and DNB in Nuclear Medicine from Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Dr. Mahato has built a career at the intersection of advanced molecular imaging, evidence-based diagnostics, and patient-centered care. His credentials extend beyond medicine, with formal training in Radiation Safety (RSO-NM, AERB, BARC), a PG Diploma in Finance from NMIMS, and executive education from IIM Indore, reflecting a rare blend of clinical precision and administrative foresight.
