The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Yashoda Hospital provides comprehensive services and care to children with chronic medical and surgical conditions. To treat critically ill infants, children, and adolescents, our facility strives to provide round-the-clock care.

We provide 24 X 7 in-house specialised emergency care to intensively sick children. Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit offers an Extracorporeal Life Support Program for children who require life-sustaining heart and lung support. We also provide comprehensive medical care to Bone Marrow / Organ Transplant patients. The latest treatment modalities available in the Unit contains Extracorporeal Life Support (Neonatal, Paediatric, and Cardiac ECMO), Nitric Oxide Therapy, high-frequency Ventilation, Non-invasive Ventilation, and Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), Plasmapheresis and CRRT modalities.

• Paediatric ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) aids in providing ECMO life support for children whose heart and lungs aren't functioning normally.
• High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) provides small, rapid puffs of air into the lungs of small children having breathing problems.
• Extracorporeal Renal Replacement Therapy provides therapy to children with severe injuries to the kidney or kidney disease. Our unit also offer Renal Replacement Therapy such as Peritoneal Dialysis, SLED, Haemodialysis, and CRRT.
• Plasmapheresis helps in exchanging blood plasma in cases of poisoning and certain immunological condition like autoimmune encephalitis, TTP etc.
• Inhaled Nitric Oxide is provided to children through breathing machine which treats respiratory problems like pulmonary hypertension. It helps in dilating the blood vessels in the lungs and hold oxygen that circulates throughout the body.
• Isolation Facility is given to patients with negative and positive pressure for organ transplant/burns/ plastic surgery patients etc.
• Flexible Fibreoptic Bronchoscopy for ICU and Non ICU cases.
• Heated, Humidified High-Flow Delivered By Nasal Cannulae (HHHFNC) for any respiratory problems in Children like bronchiolitis and post-extubated patients.
• Sedation for various types of procedures within and outside PICU.
