The Occupational therapists at the Paediatric Rehabilitation unit aid children in performing daily functional tasks and acquiring the competencies to do their everyday tasks. These skills include self-help skills (dressing, sanitation, and self-feeding), emotional/behavioral management, social interaction, upper extremity & fine motor skills, etc. which are fundamental to develop into a healthy, functional, and independent adult.

Our objective is to provide expert services with the support of a team of experts consisting of a Paediatric Surgeon, Paediatric Physician, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist, and P & O.

What is Paediatric Occupational and Rehabilitation Therapy?

Occupational therapists assist children in meeting daily functional tasks and getting the skills children to require for the “job” of being a child. These skills are crucial for a child to become a healthy, functional, and independent adult.

Our rehabilitation therapy supports your in child managing pain that can ease your child get back, keep, or improve abilities that you need for daily life. These strengths may be physical, mental, and/or cognitive (thinking and learning). Your child may have lost them owing to a disease or trauma or as a side effect from medical treatment.
