The Inspiring Journey of Dr. Rajat Arora – Cardiologist, Healthcare Leader & Philanthropist
Dr. Rajat Arora, MD, DM (Cardiology), MRCP(UK), FRCP(Glasgow) and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, is the Group Director of Yashoda Group of Hospitals based in Delhi NCR as well as the Co-Founder of Seeds of Innocence (Infertility & IVF Centres) and Genestrings Lab, Delhi NCR. With an experience spanning more than two decades in healthcare, he is reputed for having effectively managed various healthcare services across the spectrum.
A campaigner for the rights of women and children, Dr. Rajat Arora has been sponsoring the education of girls from the economically weaker sections in schools for the last seventeen years. A benefactor of education of the girl child, he has been funding the education of fifteen girls from every batch each year in Ingraham English School, a privately owned co-educational school in the Daulatpura district of Ghaziabad since 2018. He also sponsors the education of the children of poor female staff working in his organization.
His multi-speciality hospital, Yashoda Hospital & Research Centre based in Ghaziabad, organizes camps for adolescent girls and women in the rural parts of Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Meerut, Moradabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Baghpat and surrounding rural districts of Uttar Pradesh. These camps are aimed at addressing their reproductive and general health issues, including spreading awareness on various hygiene and menstrual matters which are stigmatized by the society.
Yashoda Foundation, Dr. Rajat Arora’s philanthropic arm, is actively engaged in corporate social responsibility, donating X-rays and ambulances to the newly established hospitals, aimed at providing healthcare service to the needy people. The foundation also distributes free medicines and menstrual hygiene products to women and adolescent girls in rural districts of Uttar Pradesh. Free meals are provided twice a week to more than a thousand people at Sanjay Nagar, Ghaziabad. Besides this, Yashoda also donates funds and free medical equipment during the annual Char Dham yatra every year.
In 2021, Dr. Arora provided monetary support to early-intervention-focused NGO for children, Vipla Foundation based in Mumbai. Helping Vipla to teach poor slum girls, he sent Information & Communication Technology (ICT) support material and learning resources so that their education wouldn’t get disrupted in the pandemic.
Dr. Rajat Arora’s vision has always been to provide outstanding medical care in a timely manner, spreading happiness in the lives of childless couples ensuring high quality with affordability. As the co-founder of Seeds of Innocence IVF & Infertility Centres, he is the trailblazer in bringing about the world’s most advanced infertility solutions including PRP, PGT-A and PGT-M along with India’s one of the most highly-acclaimed infertility experts, Dr. Gauri Agarwal via international collaboration with the Department of Reproductive Medicine, University of Gent, Belgium. Since his entrepreneurial journey, his boot-strapped IVF-venture, Seeds of Innocence, which was established in 2015, has successfully expanded to 25+ centres with Pan-India presence.
As an Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Arora has performed more than 1000 PCIs and 12000 coronary angiographies. Skilled in all kinds of congenital heart disease interventions such as ASD device closure, VSD device closure, and RSOV closure, Dr. Rajat Arora is equally proficient in performing endovascular aortic repairs, all types of pacemaker insertions, ICD device and CRT therapy.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Arora was at the forefront of spearheading the fight against the highly contagious virus. Thousands of coronavirus patients were successfully treated under his dynamic leadership. At the same time, his covid testing lab, Genestrings conducted more than 1.5 million RT-PCR tests during the pandemic peak. A responsible doctor, Dr. Rajat Arora featured on different news channels, decoding public fears on the coronavirus, providing invaluable insights on different strains of the virus and covid vaccination. Given his diverse body of work, Dr. Arora’s contribution to healthcare and women in particular, is indeed praise-worthy and an inspiration to millions of people.
